North Brewing Co Appoint Administrators

A Notice of Intention to appoint Atle Crowe-Maxwell as administrators in relation to North Brewing Ltd, North Brewing Management and North Brewing Leisure Ltd was filed on January 15. North Brewing’s founder Christian Townsley told The Grocer that the cost of living crisis, interest rate rises, material cost increases, Brexit and Covid were all contributing factors to the businesses’ need for additional funding to “secure the security of our staff and the business as well as push forward with plans for 2024 and beyond”.

New Beer and Mixed Case from Salt

Salt have announced the release of their collaboration beer with Thornbridge Brewery. Greenock Cut Export Scotch Ale, they say, is perfect for the winter months with a deep amber appearance. This beer is malt-forward with flavours of caramel and biscuit. Notes of raisin and honey lay just beneath the surface, with a boozy warmth, making this a beer to sip and savour. Alongside that they have released their latest mixed case, showcasing some of their favourite single hop beers.

New Beers and Webshop Discount from Tartarus

Tartarus have announced the release of two beers. Wolpertinger is their core Helles lager. It’s a crisp, clean lager which at 4% they say is very easy drinking. It was brewed in November and lagered over the Christmas period for the perfect dinking lager. Next up is a new beer, a 6% hazy ipa called Rain Bird. Brewed with wheat and oats for fluffy mouthfeel and body, it’s hopped with Ella, Amarillo and Topaz for tropical fruits, citrus and pine notes. They also currently have 15% off their entire webshop, a discount which is valid for the whole month of January!

New Beer and Events from Amity

Amity Brew Co celebrate their favourite NZ duo, the Flight of the Conchords, with Conchord, a 4.2% New Zealand Pilsner. This exceptional clean and drinkable lager captures the essence of New Zealand’s brewing tradition, featuring the distinctive Motueka hop for an unforgettable taste experience. Crisp and clean, Conchord delivers delightful upfront citrus hop aroma and a zingy lime zest finish.
