Congratulations to Barker Bridge Brewery who have been shortlisted for Food and Drink Start Up Of The Year and Matthew Barker for Young Entrepreneur of the Year in the North East, Yorkshire & the Humber regional round of the UK StartUp Awards 2024.

The UK StartUp Awards champion and celebrate the best and brightest start-ups from across the United Kingdom, recognising the achievements of those amazing individuals who have had a great idea, spotted the opportunity and taken the risk to launch a new product or service.

Brew York take inspiration from childhood favourites

New from Brew York this week is Cherry Kola, a 4.5% Cherry Cola Bottle Sour.

A classic from their infamous Sweet Shop mini-series, they’ve taken inspiration from their favourite sour sweets from childhood. A tangy sour base is backed up with sweet cherry to maintain some of the juiciness and distinct fizz of this classic sweet.

Fusion is a 4.5% Vienna Lager brewed in collaboration with Ossett Brewery.

Get ready to embark on a journey of taste with tantalizing notes of sweet caramel and warm, oven-fresh bread teasing your senses. Delight in its crisp and subtly toasted essence, accentuated by a hint of citrus dancing playfully on your palate.

Crafted with Vienna malt, renowned for its rich caramelized sugars and hearty bread-like characters, this brew embodies the essence of tradition and innovation.

Amity release their hoppiest beer yet

Collaborating with the visionary mind of Rich from Futurestate in Reading, the guys at Amity have brewed up a futuristic New England IPA that is a triumph of hop experimentation.

The Future isn’t Cancelled is a 7.2% NEIPA that harnesses cutting-edge Hopkief and CGX cryo hop products. Riwaka SubZero Hop Kief™ is a concentrated liquid hop they used post fermentation to massively increase the aroma and flavours in the beer compared to traditional T-90 pellets, whereas Motueka CGX™ Cryogenic Lupulin Pellets deliver up to twice the potency of T-90 pellets with increased lupulin and less plant material, allowing the brewer to push the boundaries of hop profiles further and further.
