SUMMARY:Suds With Buds 2024
DESCRIPTION:Following the success of the inaugural invitational beer festival last summer\, we’re delighted to share the news that Suds With Buds will be back for 2024! Taking place on Saturday June 29th across the entirety of our combined brewery and Taproom site in Harrogate\, some of the UK’s most respected and talked about breweries have been invited to descend upon our little corner of the world to pour a selection of their beers\, contributing to what will be a truly incredible line-up. The event will run from 2pm – 8pm and will span the brewery and yard\, Taproom\, Beer Garden and The Sample Room upstairs. \n\n\n\nIt’ll be a ticket-only event\, with the Taproom being closed to non-festival goers for the day. On top of the beers\, we’ll also have four street food traders serving up some of the tastiest food the North has to offer\, across an eclectic mix of styles and dietary requirements. We’ll be announcing who each of the traders are in the run up to the event. The purpose-built live music in the Beer Garden will play host to some fantastic musical talent from the Harrogate area and from further afield too – ideal for pairing with a few tasty suds with your buds. \n\n\n\nOrdinarily\, we love having dogs join us at the Taproom\, but we’re sorry to say Suds With Buds isn’t a dog-friendly event. With the brewery being opened up for bars and seating\, coupled with the layout of the space dictating that everyone at some point will need to pass through what is a essentially a food production facility\, we’re unable to allow our four-legged friends to attend. With hundreds of people expected\, it could also prove to be a worrying environment for certain dogs to find themselves in. Similarly\, as much as we’ve tried to make the event a family friendly one\, for a variety of reasons\, Suds With Buds is an over 18’s only festival. Sorry for any disappointment or inconvenience this may cause. Hopefully there’s enough time from tickets going on sale to the event taking place for any necessary childcare arrangements to be made if you’re reading this and don’t want to miss out. \n\n\n\nSpeaking of tickets\, the event has been budgeted to break even\, with a variety of costs needing to be covered in order to pull it off. Tickets are available via www.roosters.co.uk from February 1st. Subscribers to our mailing list will receive an early access link on January 31st\, so why not sign up to make sure you don’t miss out?! The price of the ticket includes a Suds With Buds festival glass\, as well as an event programme with a full beer menu and where to find the various brewery bars and food traders on the day. The price of the tickets will also cover all of the associated costs of putting on the event\, including staffing\, equipment\, the provision of a wellness area (The Coven)\, security\, the musicians and additional event toilets\, among lots of other essential elements. We’re looking forward to welcoming everyone to Suds With Buds and are working hard to make it the best event possible once again\, while also ensuring we offer a safe space for everyone involved. As such\, we’ve created a Code of Conduct for everyone attending to adhere to\, please take a moment to read it.

SUMMARY:11th Stillingfleet Beer & Music Festival
DESCRIPTION:Join us in picturesque Stillingfleet (between York and Selby) for our 11th Beer & Music Festival! \n\n\n\nThis year’s “Raise the Roof” festival will take place on Saturday 22nd June in Stillingfleet Village Hall\, from 12 noon until the barrels run dry. \n\n\n\nAfter last year’s sell-out festival\, this year’s festival is an advanced tickets only event\, so please book your tickets early using the link below! \n\n\n\nOur small-but-perfectly-formed festivals are very popular\, attracting people from far and wide to enjoy the unique atmosphere of a Yorkshire village community event. There’ll be a fine selection of excellent Yorkshire real ales to try\, plus real ciders\, as well as wine\, prosecco and soft drinks\, complemented by delicious\, freshly-prepared festival food. \n\n\n\nWe’ll also have a great line-up of live music acts during the afternoon and early evening – something for all tastes – plus novelty competitions to keep everyone amused. \n\n\n\nStillingfleet is 7 miles south of York – take the Arriva 42 bus service from York Piccadilly or Selby town centre (late buses on Saturdays)\, or we’re just a mile from the Selby – York cycle path. \n\n\n\nAs usual\, we’re raising much-needed funds for the upkeep and maintenance of the 97 year old Village Hall (for example it’s costing us nearly £5\,000 to replace the toilet block roof and 2 rotten windows).

As the event is taking place in May\, we have invested in a complete cooling system and all beer will be served from a handpump or keg dispense. \n\n\n\nBrewery list to follow – keep an eye on the Facebook page for more info. \n\n\n\nWe will also be offering a Prosecco\, Wine & Gin bar\, for non beer drinkers\, as well as some traditional ciders \n\n\n\nLive music from Sons of Robin on Fridday night and Saturday nights band tbc soon! \n\n\n\nThere will be local food vendors on hand to cater for you cravings as the event progresses. \n\n\n\nWith such a fantastic location with all the resources required to run a fantastic event\, we’re sure this will be one of the best Beer festivals for years. \n\n\n\nSaltaire Brewery and Northern Monk will be using their contacts from throughout the UK to ensure a top notch beer line up with a great selection from Pales – IPAs\, Bitters – Stouts\, some great lagers and very sessionable beers. \n\n\n\nThe ticket price includes entry into the Beer Festival\, commemorative glass\, program and the equivalent of a free drink* \n\n\n\nEach session is limited and presold with no ticket sales on the door. \n\n\n\nGetting there\n\n\n\nSandal School is a 10 minute walk from the centre of Baildon and within 25 minutes walking distance from Baildon Train station and also Saltaire via the Glen tramway. \n\n\n\nThe bus route 656 drops and collects directly outside school and buses run every hour to approximately 7.30pm. \n\n\n\n*(free drink can be taken as 2 x half pint\, full pint\, 1 glass of wine\, G & T etc)* This is an over 18’s event only. The only children admitted to the event will be those who are not yet able to ‘self propel’ (babies).** With the exception of guide dogs\, we unfortunately cannot allow animals as it is school policy.

SUMMARY:Hop City 2024
DESCRIPTION:Hop City is back once again in 2024 at the OG home of Northern Monk\, The Old Flax Store! As ever\, we’ll be serving the best hoppy beers from all the world\, from hazy pales to light\, fruity IPAs\, and sour IPAs to big DIPAs & TIPAs. Once you’re through the doors\, you can sample as many beers as you like from around 35 different breweries\, enjoy food from our food vendors and kick back and enjoy the entertainment we’ve got planned for you. We brought back token purchases for last year due to the cost-of-living crisis and all other uncertainties we were all faced with. We love the all-in ticket method\, so this year we’ve decided to give you an option. While most tickets will head back to the all-in method\, we will also have a small allocation of tokened tickets available for those that are still sadly feeling the pinch. \n\n\n\nNow for the important details: \n\n\n\nAll breweries will finish pouring 15 minutes before the end of each session and we ask that all festival attendees leave the site at the end of the session. Please be aware that ‘last orders’ is between 30 minutes and 15 minutes of the session ending. This applies to people attending more than one session so we can carry out the appropriate cleaning measures. This also applies to token purchases\, and we will not be offering any refunds to token purchases\, so please be wary of overpurchasing Our experienced security staff are fully briefed on all safety measures and reserve the right to ask people to leave if they are acting in a way that compromises the safety of others. Our Everyone Welcome initiative plays out across all our sites and highlights the steps we take to maintain the safety of staff\, brewers\, volunteers\, and attendees. This initiative will be accessible throughout the festival as a reminder of our zero-tolerance approach to discrimination and that\, at Northern Monk\, everyone is welcome to share a drink at our table. We run our Everyone Welcome initiative and all breweries invited\, through our Diversity and Inclusion forum.

SUMMARY:Keighley & Worth Valley Railway Beer & Music Festival 2023
DESCRIPTION:Over the weekend\, the Keighley & Worth Valley Railway is transformed into a 5-mile-long Beer & Music Festival across a variety of sites. \n\n\n\nOxenhope Exhibition Shed\n\n\n\nThe main festival site is at Oxenhope Station in the Exhibition Hall where there will be the main Festival bar with around 90 different cask-conditioned ales\, both local and from around the country. Alongside the main bar\, we are joined by local brewers Bridgehouse and Goose Eye with a selection of their cask-conditioned beers\, plus Kirkstall Brewery from Leeds and Brass Castle Brewery from Malton both serving a selection of cask-conditioned and craft-keg beers. We plan to have around 130 beers available at Oxenhope alone! \n\n\n\nHowever\, this Festival is not just for the beer drinkers out there; we have something for everyone. A specialist Cider bar at Oxenhope will be stocking over 30 different ciders from all over the UK\, including draught ciders on keg and some very drinkable fruit ciders. And we don’t leave out wine or gin drinkers; a wine & gin bar will be provided by Martinez Wines of Ilkley\, selling a fine selection of their white\, red and rose wines along with the odd bottle of prosecco and artisan gins. \n\n\n\nFor those non-drinkers who would like to enjoy the event this year\, we intend to have a Low and No-Alcohol Bar in the marquee at Oxenhope located between the cider and wine/gin bars\, and we are currently researching what we hope will be a small but exciting selection for you to enjoy. \n\n\n\nIngrow Station Yard\n\n\n\nOn Friday\, Saturday & Sunday\, we will also have brewery bars at Ingrow\, provided by Harrogate Brewing Co from Harrogate\, along with Amity Brew Co from Farsley\, Vocation Brewery from Hebden Bridge and local Keighley-based Wishbone Brewery. Round Corner Brewing will join us from Melton Mowbray for the first time with Uncommonly Good Beer. \n\n\n\nWe intend to have about 30 beers available at Ingrow\, both cask-conditioned ales and craft beers. There will also be a small selection of traditional and fruit ciders\, and joining us for the first time will be Mel who runs Tipsy Gee Gee from Cullingworth. Tipsy Gee Gee is a mobile bar company with a passion for gins and cocktails\, and they will be offering several different gins\, plus cocktails\, mocktails and hot drinks – both boozy and alcohol-free. \n\n\n\nPlease note entry to the Ingrow Festival site on Friday and Saturday this year will require an Event Day or Weekend Rover ticket or an Admission Only ticket. The Admission Only ticket will be valid at both the Ingow and Oxenhope sites but WILL NOT be valid for travel. \n\n\n\nThe Flying Landlord & The Ossett Brewery Express\n\n\n\nMost trains will have bars throughout the weekend. On Friday\, Saturday and Sunday\, the Railway’s Jubilee Bar Car will be conveyed on ‘The Flying Landlord’ train\, stocking beers from local Keighley-based Timothy Taylor’s Brewery. The Railway’s normal on-train real ale bar will be part of our second named train\, ‘The Ossett Brewery Express’\, stocking beers from Ossett Brewery. \n\n\n\nLive Music\n\n\n\nThere will be live music at Oxenhope and Ingrow from Friday to Sunday\, where approximately 30 groups and solo artists will perform with a wide range of genres\, from pop and rock to jazz and country – there’s sure to be something for everyone. \n\n\n\nFood & Snacks\n\n\n\nA selection of different food offerings will be available at Oxenhope and Ingrow. At Keighley\, snacks can be obtained from our kiosk on platform four during the daytime\, and the more substantial fare will be available from our café bar\, ‘The Old Parcels Office’ located on the station bridge. \n\n\n\nTickets\n\n\n\nAdvance tickets have been held at 2022 prices. Only Event Weekend Rovers (valid for up to all four days) or Event Rover one-day tickets for Friday\, Saturday & Sunday are available for advance purchase. The Ingrow Festival site will require a ticket to enter. \n\n\n\nIt will not be possible to purchase the following tickets in advance\, and they will only be available on the day of travel (on presentation of the relevant railcard or identity document where relevant): \n\n\n\n\nOne-day tickets for Thursday.\n\n\n\nDiscounted tickets for Heritage Railways Association (HRA) Pass Holders and working members of those railways with which KWVR have a reciprocal travel arrangement.\n\n\n\nReduced-price evening tickets or Admission Only tickets\, if there is any left.
