SUMMARY:Whitby Beer Festival 2025
DESCRIPTION:Whitby District Lion’s Club is very excited to announce that The Whitby Beer Festival is a back for 2025! The Whitby Beer Festival is a charity beer festival held in aid of Whitby District Lion’s Club. This year the festival is celebrating its 14th anniversary\, and the club intends to celebrate the growing reputation of the festival by serving over 30 of the very best artisan ales\, boutique beers and scrumptious ciders from award-winning local and regional independent brewers and micro-breweries. \n\n\n\nThe festival is being held at its traditional venue at the Whitby Mission & Seafarers Centre\, Haggersgate in Whitby\, which is ideally located in the centre of the town. The festival opens its doors from Thursday 24th July until Sunday 27th July. The opening times are from 12 Noon until 10 PM Thursday to Saturday and 12 Noon until 4 PM on Sunday. Entrance tickets cost just £5 which includes a commemorative festival tankard\, which is yours to keep as a souvenir. Entry tickets can then be purchased on the door by either cash or by debit/credit card. Beer tokens can be purchased throughout the festival with beers being served in half pint measures. For further information on the festival including a list of beers we are serving\, please visit our website. \n\n\n\nLast year the festival raised an amazing £5\,000.00 for Whitby Lion’s with 100% of this been donated to many local Whitby charities\, that the club supports throughout the year. Whitby Lion’s is part of Lions International which is the biggest voluntary charity network in the world with over 1.7 million members. All the money we raise from the festival and throughout the year from our other events is kept and spent locally. The club provides vital funding which can be difficult to access for small independent charities that we support. We also support many personal good causes\, helping people with disability\, learning or health needs. As a club\, we also run our Disability Scooter Scheme which hires out mobility scooters (free of charge) to anyone who has difficulty getting out and about. \n\n\n\nThe festival boasts an excellent range of delicious traditional hand-crafted real ales ranging from pale ales\, IPA’s\, bitters\, blonds\, golden ales\, dark milds to porters which have all been brewed in small batches using locally sourced ingredients. All our real ales are served from traditional draught casks\, this gives our real ales a fresher authentic taste. You will not find any mass-produced carbonated beer here. We also have an exceptional range of real ciders to enjoy from traditional scrumpy\, dry\, sweet or to the ever-popular fruity ciders such as mango and strawberry. All our ciders have been made from real apples and fruit by dedicated small producers\, who use a natural production method of making deliciously mellow\, aromatic or sweet great tasting ciders. \n\n\n\nOur festival warmly welcomes anyone who wants to sample our great produce from tourists\, day-trippers\, evening goers and real ale enthusiasts. Families are very welcome as soft drinks are available for children and all we ask is for children to be supervised by an adult. Every year the festival has a friendly and a relaxed atmosphere\, especially when the sun is out\, as we have outside seating area for you to enjoy a beer in the sun. It’s a great way to bring along some friends\, family or just by yourself and enjoy our real ale and ciders. \n\n\n\nThe Whitby Mission Café which is located just next to the hall where the festival is been held\, the café serves homemade food all day which will brilliantly complement your real ale or cider. Bar snacks are also available throughout the festival at the bar. \n\n\n\nOn behalf of Whitby & District Lions\, we thank you for your past and continued support and we look forward to seeing you there\, Cheers! \n\n\n\nEvent Information\n\n\n\nEntry Fee – £5.00 (Includes a commemorative glass tankard). \n\n\n\nBeer sold in 1/2 pint measures only. \n\n\n\nThe actual breweries and cider makers taking part will be announced closer to the festival\, please check out our social media accounts. \n\n\n\nChallenge 21 policy in operation throughout the festival. SUMMARY:Suds With Buds 2025
DESCRIPTION:Following the success of the inaugural invitational beer festival last summer\, we’re delighted to share the news that Suds With Buds will be back for 2025! Taking place on Saturday July 5th across the entirety of our combined brewery and Taproom site in Harrogate\, some of the UK’s most respected and talked about breweries have been invited to descend upon our little corner of the world to pour a selection of their beers\, contributing to what will be a truly incredible line-up. The event will run from 2pm – 8pm and will span the brewery and yard\, Taproom\, Beer Garden and The Sample Room upstairs. It’ll be a ticket-only event\, with the Taproom being closed to non-festival goers for the day. On top of the beers\, we’ll also have four street food traders serving up some of the tastiest food the North has to offer\, across an eclectic mix of styles and dietary requirements. We’ll be announcing who each of the traders are in the run up to the event and will update this page along the way too. The purpose-built live music in the Beer Garden will play host to some fantastic musical talent from the Harrogate area and from further afield too – ideal for pairing with a few tasty suds with your buds. \n\n\n\nStreet Food\n\n\n\nOrdinarily\, we love having dogs join us at the Taproom\, but we’re sorry to say Suds With Buds isn’t a dog-friendly event. With the brewery being opened up for bars and seating\, coupled with the layout of the space dictating that everyone at some point will need to pass through what is a essentially a food production facility\, we’re unable to allow our four-legged friends to attend. With hundreds of people expected\, it could also prove to be a worrying environment for certain dogs to find themselves in. Similarly\, as much as we’ve tried to make the event a family friendly one\, for a variety of reasons\, Suds With Buds is an over 18’s only festival. Sorry for any disappointment or inconvenience this may cause. Hopefully there’s enough time from tickets going on sale to the event taking place for any necessary childcare arrangements to be made if you’re reading this and don’t want to miss out. \n\n\n\nLive Music\n\n\n\nSpeaking of tickets\, the event is budgeted to break even\, with a variety of costs needing to be covered in order to pull it off. Tickets are available via www.roosters.co.uk from February 3rd. Subscribers to our mailing list will receive a priority access link on February 1st\, so why not sign up to make sure you don’t miss out?! The price of the ticket includes a stonking line-up of bands and DJ’s\, a Suds With Buds festival glass [please note: to reduce costs (reflected in the ticket pricing for 2025)\, the event glasses are the same as 2024]\, as well as an event programme with a full beer menu and where to find the various brewery bars and food traders on the day.

There’ll be a fine selection of excellent Yorkshire real ales to try\, plus real ciders\, as well as wine\, prosecco and soft drinks\, complemented by delicious\, freshly-prepared festival food. \n\n\n\nWe’ll also have a great line-up of live music acts during the afternoon and early evening – something for all tastes – plus a Prize Raffle if you’re feeling lucky! \n\n\n\nStillingfleet is 7 miles south of York – take the Arriva 42 bus service from York Piccadilly or Selby town centre\, or we’re just a mile from the Selby – York cycle path. \n\n\n\nAs usual\, we’re raising much-needed funds for the upkeep and maintenance of our 98 year old Village Hall – this time specifically focused on tackling the north face (insulating the north-facing wall to keep us all warm and dry!). So you will be supporting our fund-raising whilst having a fun day out!

SUMMARY:Suds With Buds 2024
DESCRIPTION:Following the success of the inaugural invitational beer festival last summer\, we’re delighted to share the news that Suds With Buds will be back for 2024! Taking place on Saturday June 29th across the entirety of our combined brewery and Taproom site in Harrogate\, some of the UK’s most respected and talked about breweries have been invited to descend upon our little corner of the world to pour a selection of their beers\, contributing to what will be a truly incredible line-up. The event will run from 2pm – 8pm and will span the brewery and yard\, Taproom\, Beer Garden and The Sample Room upstairs. \n\n\n\nIt’ll be a ticket-only event\, with the Taproom being closed to non-festival goers for the day. On top of the beers\, we’ll also have four street food traders serving up some of the tastiest food the North has to offer\, across an eclectic mix of styles and dietary requirements. We’ll be announcing who each of the traders are in the run up to the event. The purpose-built live music in the Beer Garden will play host to some fantastic musical talent from the Harrogate area and from further afield too – ideal for pairing with a few tasty suds with your buds. \n\n\n\nOrdinarily\, we love having dogs join us at the Taproom\, but we’re sorry to say Suds With Buds isn’t a dog-friendly event. \n\n\n\nSpeaking of tickets\, the event has been budgeted to break even\, with a variety of costs needing to be covered in order to pull it off. Tickets are available via www.roosters.co.uk from February 1st. Subscribers to our mailing list will receive an early access link on January 31st\, so why not sign up to make sure you don’t miss out?! The price of the ticket includes a Suds With Buds festival glass\, as well as an event programme with a full beer menu and where to find the various brewery bars and food traders on the day. The price of the tickets will also cover all of the associated costs of putting on the event\, including staffing\, equipment\, the provision of a wellness area (The Coven)\, security\, the musicians and additional event toilets\, among lots of other essential elements. We’re looking forward to welcoming everyone to Suds With Buds and are working hard to make it the best event possible once again\, while also ensuring we offer a safe space for everyone involved. As such\, we’ve created a Code of Conduct for everyone attending to adhere to\, please take a moment to read it.

SUMMARY:11th Stillingfleet Beer & Music Festival
DESCRIPTION:Join us in picturesque Stillingfleet (between York and Selby) for our 11th Beer & Music Festival! \n\n\n\nThis year’s “Raise the Roof” festival will take place on Saturday 22nd June in Stillingfleet Village Hall\, from 12 noon until the barrels run dry. \n\n\n\nAfter last year’s sell-out festival\, this year’s festival is an advanced tickets only event\, so please book your tickets early using the link below! \n\n\n\nOur small-but-perfectly-formed festivals are very popular\, attracting people from far and wide to enjoy the unique atmosphere of a Yorkshire village community event. There’ll be a fine selection of excellent Yorkshire real ales to try\, plus real ciders\, as well as wine\, prosecco and soft drinks\, complemented by delicious\, freshly-prepared festival food. \n\n\n\nWe’ll also have a great line-up of live music acts during the afternoon and early evening – something for all tastes – plus novelty competitions to keep everyone amused. \n\n\n\nStillingfleet is 7 miles south of York – take the Arriva 42 bus service from York Piccadilly or Selby town centre (late buses on Saturdays)\, or we’re just a mile from the Selby – York cycle path. \n\n\n\nAs usual\, we’re raising much-needed funds for the upkeep and maintenance of the 97 year old Village Hall (for example it’s costing us nearly £5\,000 to replace the toilet block roof and 2 rotten windows).
